QUB Esports Presents. QUBLAN: Counter-Strike.

  • QUB Esports will be hosting Queen's University's first LAN tournament, and this tournament will be for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the final CSGO LAN located in Northern Ireland before the transition to CS2.
  • Regarding ticket pricing with and without Accommodation being supplied by Queen's University BT9, the following are the ticket prices:
    • £25 per ticket, per player, for both days.
    • £60 per ticket, per player, including one night stay.
    • £100 per ticket, per player, including two nights stay.
    • £130 per ticket, per player, including three nights stay.
  • Spectators to the event will be free of charge.

  • Due to constraints with the electricity within the venue, we’ve had to divide the teams into two rooms - one room will have 8 teams and the other with 3 teams. We would’ve loved to have all teams within the same room however this is the compromise we’ve had to make to ensure a power trip won’t happen during the event. Each team will be assigned a bench on Monday.
  • Additionally, please don’t plug anything else into a socket other than your PC and monitor during the event, if you need to charge your phone please do so through your PC to reduce the risk of a power trip. You do not need to bring your own power strip or ethernet cables as this is already provided at your assigned bench.
  • The only other 2 very important rules for the venue are: please don’t bring any drinks that do not have a cap or lid into any of the rooms (playing rooms or cinema room for spectators), and also lanyards will be handed to all players and spectators on Monday, please wear these whenever you’re in the venue. Staff will also have lanyards.

Format

  • Group Stage:
    • Two single round-robin groups
    • All matches are Bo1
    • Top two teams from each group advance to the bracket phase
  • Bracket Stage:
    • Single-Elimination bracket with third place playoff
    • All matches are Bo3
